From July 1, your
private health insurance rebate will be means tested, and the medicare
levy surcharge will increase for those on higher incomes.
Some seniors currently receiving the 40% rebate may lose some or all of their rebate under the new income test, which means their premium could increase by more than 40%.
Find
out if or how you are affected by these changes, and also review your health
insurance needs and the cost of your premiums (or Medicare levy surcharge)
using the information and links on the Seniors Housing Online News page.
