Aged Care Reform Bills Sent To Senate Inquiry - Submissions Due By April 22

Aged care reform legislation has been deferred, putting the implementation timetable in question. The bills have been referred to a Senate Committee Inquiry, which is due to report back by 17th June, allowing only a short window for the legislation to be passed before the end of the current parliamentary session. With an election due in September, the reforms may be deferred indefinitely if they are not passed this session. The Senate Committee is calling for submissions from interested people and organisations, before April 22. More on the Seniors Housing Online News page.
